THE EXPONENTIAL MINDSET
FOR THE VERY GREATEST POSSIBLE LIFE

Rough draft

THE MINDSETS

We talk of the following, but we do not explicitly, in many cases, really nail down the "Exponential Mindset".

1.  No management or not much, just do. (The Busy Mindset)
1A.  The efficiency mindset (where we can get stuck in the game of "faster") (Efficiency Ratio)
2.  The priority management (80/20) - a cousin of the exponential mindset.
3.  The Mulitiplier Mindset (The Strategic Coach) and the Leverage Mindset (delegate effectively, etc.)
4.  The Values Mindset (where we look at life from 50,000 feet up and discover the ultimate purpose and run our life by that; based on determining Relative Value and eliminating "faux" values that are the cotton candy of our lives, at great expense, discussed in What Are My Actual Rewards? What Are My Believed Rewards That Aren't Rewards?.  We do juggling between value areas in Values In Various Areas And How To Trade Off Between Them.).

WE TALK OF PRODUCTIVITY STRATEGIES

Eliminate the least important (scavenge it out, list what to eliminate and powerfully eliminate it; say no (in light of a bigger yes to devote time to).

We eliminate the barriers (pressures, lack of skills, psych misbeliefs, etc.), often with a huge return!

And we try to put it all together and checklist it in my book "Life Value Productivity" (link to the Kindle book via Books, Booklets).

AND, ON TOP OF THOSE IS THE EXPONENTIAL MINDSET

This could be called a subset of importance, which it is, in a sense.

You might call it a somewhat different view (only).

All it is is to look at each thing you do with the longest possible view of the timeline.

The biggest return of all is in "Life Learning", as it leads to the biggest effectors of life value (long term, lasting, true happiness).   Once we learn how things work in life and how to work them (via The Life Wisdom Mindset), we are off and running, doing life over and over at a higher and better level.

The value in a 100 hours of life learning is that the thinking, strategies, and ways of proceeding are used over and over and over and over in life, so the little bit of immediate value gained (after a "loss" of a 100 hours) is multiplied by each time it affects our lives, which can be 1,000's of times.

The biggest return of all, though it takes a "build" to get there, is changing the "conversation", in a substantial way, inside our head, as that goes on 24/7 as is the greatest affector in life, determining the majority of the quality of life.

Learning how to think better, make better decisions, how to learn better, how to manage emotions(!), etc. (see The Essential Life Skills Without Which There Is Little Personal Power Or Happiness) are incredibly powerful and used over and over.

EXPONENTIAL MULTIPLIED BY EXPONENTIAL

But, although these are used many times, their effect is not linear (1 + 1 + 1...).  Instead, for instance in the thinking and better decisionmaking, we make better choices so that we free up time from the effects of our bad choices, so that we can have more time to do more high value life learning!

And if we realize that life momentum is linear and that to raise the trajectory we need outside forces intervening to push it up, we have a unique insight that can lead to another unique, incredibly value insight.  We can realize it is in our interest to intentionally cause the outside forces to impact our momentum line upward.  The result is not simply a more upward straight line, but an exponential growth curve.

In order to do that we must have learned and implemented The Growth Mindset (instead of living in the Fixed Mindset or Groundhog Day - or living The Life Of A Gradually Boiling Frog, waking up when day to hotness of hell and realizing that they are in deep manure, or what Daniel calls "a ruined life").  If only they would realize that earlier in life!!!

Yes, the growth mindset tends to be exponential (look at a growth curve and see how it bends upward), but when we add the mode of thinking that has us project forward based on the number of times something is useful in life times an adjustment for a carefully determined higher value item, we add an extra multiplier to the normal growth curve in terms of  Life Value units!

Combine and build all of these and you will, definitely, guaranteed, absolutely create the greatest life no matter what!

WHAT TO DO TO APPLY THIS AND IMPLEMENT IT

See The Highest Value Activities In Life and also The Hierarchy Of Highest Value Activities And Dramatically Higher Payoffs.)

A SPECIAL BIT OF ADVICE!

Don't go any further in your life without finishing and having fully ascertained the relative life value of each area of your life AND the highest value activities in your life.

Do it now, and you'll start allocating your life for your very best life!

AN EXAMPLE OF MIXING AND APPLYING THE MINDSETS

The classic example is how men often overvalue work.  They do not think about a better way to get the side benefits of work (validation, recognition, socialization, etc.), so they stay stuck in the box because of misvaluing work, stuck in The Fixed Mindset.

Also, if they had done life learning, they would not be stuck in the state of needing many of the things they think they need AND they could identify "faux" value (that which we think will be of value and because we think it will be will get a shot of dopamine, which we value, but often with poor long term consequences - which can be exactly the same as an addiction, but not to substances).  And, when trading off whether they should do more work (though they don't have to financially) or life learning and/or giving value to their spouse, they choose work, based on their wrongly determined total value from the actual benefit of work plus the faux value.

Studying these materials on this site, if the man did it at all, would have the man living a new life of freedom, spaciousness, aliveness (versus numbness), ease (vs. pressure, anxiety), and pure happiness (the final product of the exponential mindset!!!!

Use this page as a major, major lesson in improving life!!!!

As suggested in How Best To Use The Site, you would read the whole page through and note down on the page, based on having printed the page, what links to use as the "reading sequence" necessary to really master this and apply it to life.  Of course, you would do the exercises as soon as you can, because they will directly impact your life quickly!

Read this and all links, included selected ones from each piece, and it'll be like reading a book (which takes some time), but one of the most life valuable books you will ever read in your entire life!

(Spend 20-40+ hours learning and applying what is on these page and the links.  At the very least, spend 2-5 hours determining the relative life value of the areas of life and your activities.)

What would lead to an exponential life?

Building A Life - Simple Overview

Read which books?

After you've determined the relative value of the areas of life and of its activities, then read these:

The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey

First Things First, Stephen Covey

Implement every item in them!

Procrastinate On Purpose, Rory Vaden

Work The System, Sam Carpenter - Uses the thinking behind the exponential principle.
