THE FEMALE AND THE MALE CHIMP BRAINS
DIFFERENT EVOLUTIONARY NEEDS, SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT BRAINS, DRIVES

See the course book for this:  The Chimp Paradox and the overall Human, Chimp, Computer Brain piece that precedes this one.

"A chimp is insecure by nature."

To better survive and to assure DNA is passed on these two variations developed via evolution.

The brains of males and females are mostly the same, often sharing to differing degrees the same characteristics.

Those who unthinkingly overemploy "political correctness" might take this as a "judgment" or "prejudice" piece, while it fact-based with no unfair judgmental conclusions.  Some, because they are not employing fact-based reasoning will deny the truth of what have been proven.

There are, in fact, some differences that have evolved to serve the needs for our better survival. If you know better, please provide the facts and reasoning to enable a revision of this page.
FEMALE CHIMP BRAIN

Sensing at a higher level - Wary of male mood, strength, aggressiveness (needs to protect self)
Able to read body language extremely well

Motivation to stay: By staying closer to the male, will remain safer.

Powerful maternal drive, nesting instinct to provide shelter for the young

Insecure, so is vigilant enough for child's survival, anxious, wary

Difficulty making decisions (and beat selves up for this difficulty/inability)

More left sided connections in brain, better understanding of emotions

Main Hormone

Estrogen (promotes maternal drives, nesting instinct, passivity/calmdown)
MALE CHIMP BRAIN

Bigger, stronger bodies evolved for males, must impress female and tribe to give them security

Must be driven sexually

Sees females as his property, drives away other males

Motivation to stay:  Obtain sexual gratification

The male brain has more cells devoted to mathematical capabilities and "mapping".

The male brain has less capacity to understand emotions and for empathy.

Main hormone

Testosterone (High sex drive, aggression, builds muscle)
