MY CHOSEN LIFE PATH
AND STAYING ON IT!

I've put the diagram on top of this page,, and the discussion below it.  I wanted to be able to remind myself at a glance of what staying on my life path looks like.

Job #1 in my life is to get back on the path (except for true emergencies getting in the way of it).  Q2 (Quadrant 2), let me be clear, includes all activities to stay on and get back to full power.

MY PATH - MY LIFE FULL OF MEANING, VALUE, FULFILLMENT, TRUE ENJOYMENTS

_____________________________________________________________________

Staying/living in The Power Zone (always well functioning)
Feeling fully alive, alert, present
Only High Life Value Activities Q1 & Q2 (includes "harvesting")
Building (Learning, systems, supports, skills for better life value harvesting)

_____________________________________________________________________

"Offpath"

"I do not accept staying off power, ever, period!  A lower level of life is NOT ACCEPTABLE!"

Any "off" physical condition:
Low energy/alertness; not smooth/deep breathing, harming
Any "off" thinking condition
   Non-thinking impulsive, foggy, unaware
Any "off" emotional condition
Anxiety, fear, stress, anger, shame, guilt, regret, bored
Any "off" personal power condition
Approval seeking, dependency/victim, "other people" determinant
Any "off" (not "I" chosen) behavior
Distractions diversions (seeking relief in the less effective modes)
Any wasting of a day, one's energy, doing low/no/(or)negative value
Anything that has me not following the rules I set (while in higher thinking)
Any time staying on the Road Of (To) Hell:  Seeking perfection, anxiety filled, approval
seeking, remaining in a low condition of life, being run by impulses/lower mind.

Master rule:  Stop, breathe/center, think, choose what is of best value

Act to correct an "off condition" without delay
Leave no "off condition", or cause of one, in place - correct and replace without delay.  This includes "off" beliefs.

The "facilitators" for the path are in a section below.

MY EXPERIENCE WHEN I AM ON MY PATH

I am fully alert, rested, energized to at least a 7 on the Power Zone scale.

Everything, even the mundane, is easy to do, for I am without resistance in the form of conflicting needs or conditions.

I am fully present, with all of my attention units available (and none "pre"-occupied), where life seems to be in bright technicolor and clear, where I can fully focus on what is going on in the space and with whomever I am with.

I have a general feeling of well-being, appreciation, and of personal power (at cause over my life).

TO FACILITATE STAYING ON THE PATH, I...

Assure a great day launch (physical and psychological) - "How you start your day is how you live your day." (L. Hay)

Assure I've managed my day, planning my to do's and allocating on my calendar - "How you live your days is how you live your life." (L. Hay)

Do my weekly plan, monthly overview plan, quarterly plan, and life plan, so that I will have decided ahead of time what is the best use of my time in terms of "building" and also in terms of rejuvenation and enjoyment time.

Keep a pre-set committed schedule for the day, a simple effective task management system, and tickle everything I can into the system.  (See Life Value Productivity and possible buy the book, at almost zero cost.)

_________

What the terms mean

"Off" - Off target of what is good for "well-being", anything less than well-functioning levels.

"I" = Higher thinking brain, meaning creating/fulfilling, full experiencer of life.

"Not I" - The machinery, just seeking "better survival", unthinking

"Thinking" - Putting together information in order to benefit from it.

"Non-thinking" or "reacting" - Neuronal patterns triggered by associations without active thinking used.

"Life worth living" - Fully aware and experiencing, attaining meaning/purpose/value,
Plus doing that which has one attain that level.  (See An Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living - and understand it!)

Resources

This is a broad topic, including many books on life.  The two "L. Hay" quotes are from the book You Can Create An Exceptional Life, Louise Hay and Cheryl Richardson [I don't ascribe to some of their more mystical beliefs but the general concepts are valid.]
