USING THE POWER OF INTERRUPTING
STOP THE CURRENT FLOW OR LACK THEREOF...

(In the process of being written, but scan it for quick view of contents and do the link in the sidebar!)

"Be an interruption!" was the urging in the growth seminar.  The idea was to be an interruption of the momentum and bad ideas and bad behaviors of other people.  Yes, you risked getting blamed or getting caught in the crossfire, but it was deemed to be worth it.  (For a step-niece, I took her aside and made a strong case for not marrying the jerk she thought she was going to marry - luckily, she didn't...)

This is a vital strategy, so please heed this and make it a valuable, constant practice!

It is the gateway to discontinuing anything that is harmful or not useful.  It is the "first step" on any new journey.

If things are not likely to go well if we continue something, then it would seem logicat to
"Stop the continuous progress of...(an activity or process)".  We want "break off or cause to cease, discontinue" and, dammit, stop!  Stop the insanity or at least stop the not-so-sane thinking or actions that you are presently engaged in.

In psychology, we want to "interrupt" any emotion or impulse that might be negative or harmful.

An "interrupt" is essentially a "stopping" of something, used whenever we sense the possibility of things not going well if we continue the present path.  (If we don't apply the "force" of an interruption the path will continue in the direction of the momentum - see The Principle Of Momentum.

It is an opportunity to engage the higher brain to take over and/or to restore ourselves to being in power over our selves and our life.

Use it:  When you feel exhausted, sleepy, low energy, or are about to do something "not so good for you".

How can I get to a better path?

All it is is a path to the better path.  Simply follow the steps instead of letting crap happen!!!! It requires no super powers as each step is totally doable (and, appropriately, simple!)...

It is the strategy that all "mindful" (full mind in use) and life-successful people use to stop going along on a "mindless" path... to nowhere or to oblivion or somewhere in between that is not so good....

You can tell when something is nto quite right, has gone awry, you don't feel good, or yo spot a pattern that you know will do you no good.
things seem hard...

If you are operating at the next level up...

You will ask "what preceded the unappropriate emotion  and you'd eliminate that ...
Imagine if you were able to eliminate all the things that caused bad emotions and/or to inttrrupt and change the emotion ....
