However, the "real I" is an "experiencer" of life

The end purpose of life is deep, enduring, accumulated happiness - not the goals, not one's calling nor "purposes" nor missions - those are means to help beget the end goal.

What really happens in life occurs in the real world.  What occurs in the mental world is interpreting what happens and then adding meaning to it - which determines if it is felt as positive happiness) or negative.  We also add an "importance" (higher value) to some things, so that a positive high value creates more positive units than a lower value item.  The end goal is to "accumulate" the most happiness units.  Since the mental world is the key link, mastery of the mental/emotional world is the key to life.  Without it, the great life will not exist, period!

Being "in charge" creates the most life value

    Learn how things work --> sufficient mastery --> desired results

    Learn how to think --> decide good choices    --> desired results
                                      Problem solve well

Without sufficient "working knowledge" being used to make good decisions by engaging the higher (thinking) brain, you cannot, possibly, create the greatest life.  No miracles will do it for you!

       don't have in their lives.)

ONLY WHAT IS OF HIGHEST VALUE, NO LESS!

Invest only in what is the highest value alternative →   accumulate most value in life.

Can alter a life upwards by 10-100 times, with no more effort and often less.

1.  Know what is of most value (or how can you get it?).

   By area (self care, spouse, family, "calling", income earning, etc.)
   By activity (developing the means to create lots of value, experiencing the value
       itself)
       Learning the key information to produce more value in areas of repeated activity is
           of the highest value.

Be aware that values for any one thing can, and likely will, change, so that the tradeoffs as to what is more valuable will change.  (Concept of marginal value, and diminishing value by quantity).  So, you must engage the thinking machine for every impactful decision.

    The ultimate value is enduring, deep ongoing happiness that is "accumulated"
 
2.  Use the best process for choosing what is of the most value.

    How to best learn the necessary processes, including how to learn.
    How to think to make the right choice.
    Employing good learning and good thinking often (rather than very occasionally!)

    More energy available and not misused the bigger the pipeline to put things through
    The pipeline for productivity of value is contracted considerably by diverting capacity to
         Fix imbalances in the body/mind or psychological functioning - it is an evolved imperative to correct any threats to functioning.  Fixing something diverts energy to the fixing job and permanently robs it of the use of that energy for other things.

     The law of scarce resources - in order to get something done, after a point, we must rob resources from another area, so that area is worse off and/or impaired.
           Anxiety takes energy and attention away from what could be used for higher purposes, as does any other distraction.
